2 states is an upcoming bollywood movie which will have romance as well as drama.2 states is based on the novel written by Chetan Bhagat in 2009 and now has been screenplayed by Abhishek Varman.The producers of the film are Sajid Nadiawala and Karan johar.The lead roles of the film are Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

2 states is a story of a boy named Krish Malhotra (played by Arjun Kapoor) and a girl named Ananya Swaminathan(played by Alia Bhatt) .

Both of them meets at Ahmedabad’s Indian Institute of Management and during the passage of time falls in love with each other.The problems starts creeping in when Krish and Ananya decides to marry each other as both of them belongs to two totally different states of the country,Krish being from a Punjabi family in Delhi and Ananya from a Tamil Brahmin family in Chennai. Both of them decided to marry each other only if their parents agreed for doing sea chaos is created when both the families meets each other.

The actors like Reknit Roy could be seen in the role of Kris’s father as Vicar Malhotra and Amrita singh playing the role of Kris’s mother as Cavite Malhotra. Shiv Kumar Subramanian is playing the role of Anaya’s father as Shiv Swaminathan  and Breathy as Radar Swaminathan who is playing the role of Anaya’s Mother.

The choices for the lead role male before Arjun were Sharukh khan,Ranbir Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.In an interview Alia Bhatt said that her role in 2 states is much different from Deepika Padukone’s role in Chennai Express.The film has been shooted at the locations like Chennai,Delhi,IIM(Ahmedabad) .The designer of Alia’s customes is Manish Malhotra.The music composers are Shankar,Ehsaan and Loy.The lyricist of the songs is Amitabh Bhattacharya.The movie has 6 tracks.The releasing date of 2 states is 18^th of April,2014.Trailers have created expectations in the mind of people and they are waiting for the movie eagerly.
